Host: Captain Whoremoan

Live from Atlanta Georgia! If you ever hung out at a rock club or radio station event in Atlanta during the early to mid 90’s, you most likely were not far from the insanity created there by the one and only Captain Whoremoan! Captain Whoremoan Globecasts from Atlanta Georgia, a city that’s created a lot of the great music that you will hear when you tune in to The Captain Whoremoan Show. He may throw a Southern Rock Set your way featuring The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blackfoot, 38 Special. You may hear a bit of the blues with Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Susan Angeletti. The Captain loves to help out the unsigned artists as well; Station, The Ratchet Dolls, Mad Margritt, and Cosmic Gypsies are all a big part of his show each week. The Captain also features “UNDER THE COVERS” a set of cool ass cover songs done in a variety of different positions. You also have an opportunity to program part of Captain Whoremoan’s show with THE PERFECT ALBUM SIDE. This is where you pick out six of your favorite songs, compile them as you would a Perfect…album…side…and send them in. He’ll play them back for you and all your friends will think you are the coolest. it’s ROCK THAT DOESN’T SUCK!

Saturday 5pm CST

League of Woman Rockers

The League Of Women Rockers is a not so secret society of some of the baddest chicks on the planet! Each week we bring you the best of an all female lineup featuring some of the loudest and softest voices to breathe down a microphone and lay out a vocal track. Legends like Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett, Pat Benetar, some with a softer touch like Margo Timmons and Norah Jones, some on the heavier side, Lita Ford, Doro Pesch, Vixen. We celebrate the new breed of women rockers Lzzy Hale, Lacuna Coil, Maria Brink, Flyleaf. And we feature some off the wall stuff from Butcher Babies, Plasmatics, and Genitortures. Early on in rock radio we were told it was bad programming to play two rock songs featuring women back to back, at Bladerunner Radio…we love our women rockers back to back. So we programmed an hour of them.

Rippers and Shredders

Saturday 9pm CST

Host: Unkle Dave

Rippers and Shredders with Uncle Dave

Steve Vai, John 5, Satriani, Gary Hoey, Uli John Roth, Billy Sheehan, Vinnie Moore, Tony Macalpine, Eric Johnson, Andy Timmons, Buckethead, Joe Stump, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Randy Rhodes, Brian Setzer, Jimi Hendrix, Richie Blackmore, Steve Morse, Orianthi, Dimebag Darrell and Dave Ellefson…the list goes on and on.

These are just a few of the Axemen (and Axewomen) you’ll hear each week on Rippers & Shredders. It’s all about the rock on Bladerunner Radio and Rippers & Shredders is all about the guitarists of rock and roll, blues and sometimes jazz and big band. Anybody can sing but it takes a special talent to make a guitar scream and cry. Rippers & Shredders is Unkle Dave’s creation from inception to completion every week and it’s what he loves to do, and we hope you love to listen to it as much as he does creating it.

(MP3 320kbps/44100hz, or WAV) We do not want to hear any excuses about why your demo ‘sounds like shit’…because it shouldn’t…and if it does…chances are, you do also. If you know someone in a local unsigned band, let them know about us, and let us know about them. Send your stuff to us at

Saturday 11pm CST

Brace For Impact

As the title says…BRACE FOR IMPACT. This is an hour of your favorite rock radio songs…with a bit of a twist. And some…downright TWISTED. Remixes, Dubstep, Industrial, Mashups, Techno and other fun musical oddities. This show works best if listened to through your headphones. The show is hosted by the previous radio career of the Bladerunner. You’ll hear twisted versions of various Bladerunner “Airchecks” from stations in Gordon Nebraska, Cambridge Minnesota, Atlanta Georgia, Oklahoma City, Albuquerque New Mexico, and Dallas Texas. Plus you’ll hear a segment Bladerunner produces called “Twisted Phones” a series of phone threads with cat, duck, and goat sound effects done through a variety of different vocal effects, and occasionally at the expense of an unsuspecting Chinese restaurant. A very weird, but very cool show.

Saturday 12 Midnight

Metalopolis was featured every Saturday Night at Midnight CST on Bladerunner Radio. The city of Metalopolis was set in the year 6216 Exactly 150 years after the apocalypse. What remained of planet Earth had been divided by two major sub colonies on the three remaining continents. The only form of media remaining from Pre-Apoc Earth, was a hard drive full of METAL music and a box of cassette tapes from an unbalanced AM Radio preacher. No one knew which of the two represented evil, and which represented good. Two opposing sanctions spread the word of each, through rudimentary hacking and broadcasting methods, in an effort to define the origins of those left behind. Bladerunner Radio obtained exclusive audio signals sent from the future to our present day. The auditory battle permeating the streets of Metalopolis, and broadcast to Bladerunner Radio, was not a radio show, it was a warning from the future. There are 13 unaired recordings of Metalopolis currently on hold. Today’s metal audience was unable to show enough support to continue the expense of this broadcast, and therefore they will remain on hold until this audience has proven themselves worthy and attentive enough to hear bands such as Pantera, Job For A Cowboy, Sepultura, Coven, Hatebreed, Anthrax, Agnostic Frost, Madball, Biohazzard, Pentagram, Kingdom Of Sorrow, Slayer, Venom, Kreator, Children of Bodom, played on the airwaves of Bladerunner Radio. In the year 6216 the meek have in fact inherited the Earth, but the meek, are not human.

Ciao!

X-RAY VINYL with XRAY Holman

Sunday 3pm CST

Host: XRAY Holman

X-Ray Vinyl is a show featuring the banned music that was illegally smuggled into Russia in the early 60’s to late 70’s. The Soviet Union banned certain rock music from the people of Russia and the airwaves of Russian radio. A defiant group of anarchists made bootleg pressings of this music onto discarded medical X-Rays, and brought this music to a new generation of anarchists and music lovers alike. Bladerunner Radio now broadcasts this music around the globe and most specifically into the heart of the former Soviet Union. Music from The Beatles, The Stones, Zeppelin, Hendrix, Joplin, The Doors, The Who and more. Hosted by X-RAY Holman, exclusively on Bladerunner Radio.

Sunday 5pm CST

Some tracks never heard before on the radio, some from radio shows, some exclusive acoustic performances only available on Bladerunner Radio. The Acoustic Bomb shelter features music from virtually every artist we play on Bladerunner Radio, from the classics to the new tracks, some metal and symphony additions as well. It’s a cool place to be on a Sunday afternoon. The Acoustic Bomb Shelter on Bladerunner Radio.

Sunday 7pm CST

Grand Theft Audio

Bladerunner Radio spends a pretty great deal of time showcasing some of the coolest cover songs on the planet the way it is. Captain Whoremoan and Brandon Rush both do an UNDER THE COVERS feature on their shows, and Nikki Lee always seems to work in an oddity or two. We’ve collected and compiled all of our favorite cover songs into a huge gigantic record bin at Bladerunner Radio, and now slam together this hour-long show each week featuring randomly picked cover tunes. GRAND THEFT AUDIO, it’s got a bit of a ring to it, and just we like our music like we like our cars…driven like they are stolen. GRAND THEFT AUDIO…it’s all in the way that you hear it.
